Dear RE|dance Friends and Family,

We are so grateful to have started 2019 with a beautiful premiere of two new works by Michael. The Biggest Wail From The Bottom Of My Heart and What Love Looks Like were performed for 5 very generous audiences over two weekends at the Hamlin Park Fieldhouse Theater.  Lucy traveled to Tempe, AZ to perform her solo, Wanting, Reaching, Searching at the Breaking Ground Dance Festival and the company also made it's way back to Santa Barbara, CA to perform in the HH11 Dance Festival in February. It was a busy but artistically fruitful way to start our 10 year anniversary celebration!
The 10K for 10 years RE|dance group campaign celebrated our mission to create original dance theatre works that address the optimism of the human condition and thanks to our generous matching donor we were able to start the year with a strong foundation that will allow us to continue creating and producing work for the remainder of this year and into the next! We thank everyone that has supported us along the way.

In April we broke ground on a new work by Lucy entitled, What the Moon Pulls. The dancers began the process with a residency at the Cultural Center that was generously provided to us by See Chicago Dance and the Department of Cultural Affairs. This 40 minute dance theater work explores the phases of the moon and it's cyclical influences on the human condition. What the Moon Pulls will be performed alongside a 30 minute RE|dance RE|trospective that is also a part of our final ten year anniversary performance season. We hope to see you in those seats at the Filament Theater November 21-24!

We continue to build our individual donor base each year in an effort to continue creating and performing new work throughout Chicago and the Midwest this Spring and Summer. Please be on the look out for new mailing list updates and our new donor platform called First Giving. Here, you'll be able to customize your donations as either one time or recurring gifts. We also still have a fabulous TeeSpring account where you can buy RE|dance merchandise and support from afar!!!  We are so appreciative of your efforts in helping us get here! Now follow us into year 11 with so much more dance theatre goodness to come!!!
